Federico Missio
FEDERICO MISSIO fanciful Italian jazz musician. Composer and arranger. An extemely versatile personality in constant deep research of a sound "with something more".
In 2006 he won the First Prize as soloist at the "Premio Jazz Lighthouse: Giovane in Jazz", and in 2009 together with the piano player Juri Dal Dan he wons the First Prize at the International Competetion: "Concorso Nuove Strade del Cinema".
In 2012 Federico was part of the italian singer Marco Mengoni's band during his tour in all national theaters..
At the moment he lives and works in Berlin.

The Sequoia Soprano and Alto Lemon (Unlacquered) are instruments whose sound personality and extreme ductility have always helped me searching for the inspiration. It's a rare and at the same time a happy example how modern saxophones, though respecting the tradition, are able to bravely and humbly come out from the choir of a constant growing and discouraging market ratification.
